#transitiontosuccess – Strategic Planning Resources for Authors
This month’s #transitiontosuccess article in the RWR examines the power of the Strategic Plan. I shared how mine is constructed, but different things work for different people. So welcome to the companion “resource blog” with more perspectives so you can find something that fits with not only your perspective but, frankly, how your brain organizes information.
First up: Veronica Scott did a post for Romance University on her strategic planning. In it she talks about things like your Vision, Mission Statement, Enablers, and Goals.
A less formal structure is found at http://thisblogisaploy.blogspot.ca/2016/08/author-career-planning.html, and was recommended by author London Setterby.
One of my favourite resources comes from Kimberley Grabas. I already have a Strategic Plan in place, but I’m tempted to re-do it in this format – the Author Business Plan that is free at YourWriterPlatform.com. I printed it out and ADORE it.
Nicole Evelina has a Business Plans for Authors course through the Professional Author Academy, where you can figure out the ins and outs of your business in an 11-step process.
If you have another other resources you’d like to share, leave them in the comments! 🙂
